Beardies are the husbandry-error magnet: the classic failures are undersized enclosures (the 40-gallon starter myth — 4×2×2 ft is the floor), weak UVB (metabolic bone disease follows), and co-habitation (they do not want friends). The temperature gradient IS digestion — basking heats their gut for the salad. Aim a temp gun at the basking rock, not the air.
