Profile & Natural History
Leopard geckos are belly-heat animals — under-tank heating pads on a thermostat matter more than basking bulbs, and heat rocks are a burn hazard to avoid. The UVB question (nocturnal species don't need it?) resolved toward low-output options anyway: short exposures aid D3 synthesis, and the evidence shifted. Humid hide for shedding; 36-inch minimum enclosure; and the three-hide setup (warm, cool, humid) is the whole architecture.
